Hanuman is the son of Vayu, the Wind God, and a she-monkey. Although he is blessed with very peculiar magical powers, the young monkey suffers from lack of discipline which causes him to lose these gifts. Until the day that King Rama's wife is kidnapped by the King of Demons, and Hanuman embarks on an incredible adventure, finally learning to use his magical gifts.

Drawing on Kathakali, a highly stylised form of dance-theatre from India, and the Ramayana, an epic tale from thousands of years ago, Sylvi Belleau creates a mythical universe where she plays different characters and draws young spectators in through movement, music and storytelling.
